Dr. Walden has served in numerous pastoral positions from children’s ministry, missions pastor to senior pastor. For the past 15 years Dr. Walden has been the founder and president of MOTE Inc., a 501 c3 nonprofit organization with offices and ministries in San Diego, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Panama.  Dr. Walden has served as the Staff Senior Director of Pastoral Care – Chaplaincy for California, largest health care district, Palomar Pomerado Health from 1996 -2008.  He is an active instructor and faculty Associate at Bethel Seminary San Diego in the Global Contextual Study Department.

He heads up the international “Practical Theology Education Series” for Bethel University and UNEV-Universidad Nacional Evangelica, Dominican Republic, as well as conducts conferences workshops in the nations where MOTE is actively involved. The MOTE organization collaborates with the local Christian leaders in the nations as well as with the national government agencies, social services and business leaders of the nations being served. The MOTE organization in 2013  initiated a collaborative association  with other universities in partnership with Bethel San Diego to develop a one year intensive  DIPLOMA program titled “Practical Theology Education Series” (PTES). The PTES is a full theological education with practicum requirements to graduate. The scholarship supported programs are available to pastors and leaders living and serving the extreme poor. Christian leaders who are financially challenged and do not have the required prerequisite to enter a seminary or Bible College program represent the majority of churches in regions where poverty is extreme. The PTES education series fills this void.

Dr. Walden’s autobiography, titled, “Wipe Out – A True Story of Winning,” has sold thousands of copies since its publication in 2007. He also has published work in pastoral care in secular health care in a collaborative effort with other professional disciplines. It is required reading for health care professionals in universities. Dr. Walden is married to his beloved wife, Sandee and their two children and seven grandchildren, who bring them great joy and thankfulness to their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
